When you select a mentor or a coach, it is very important that you have to respect the person enough that when they do encourage you, you do believe that they know what they are talking about. You also want to believe them when they warn you to proceed with care.
Avoiding eye contact, face-to-face confrontations and problem-solving (texting or emailing when face-to-face is the most appropriate and expected communication strategy).
